    Angry Humbug!

Just spent the afternoon in town buying xmas prezzies for the wife.

It's a 5 mile drive, usually takes about 10 mins once I've been round the one way system in Hanley. Today it took....

    1 hour 10 mins!!!

And that included 30 pigging minutes queueing around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around the multistorey car park

And to top it off, my fuel economy has dropped from 45.1mpg when I left home, to 38.1mpg when I got back home - and it's come up a bit from what it was as I left the car park!!!

    Oh, I love christmas....

I hate my job at the best of times with all the driving/traffic etc but at this time of year it is really unbearable.

Shopping online should be made compulsary

    Default crimbo chaos

for my sins i drive a bus round the city and suburbs and i have to agree at this time of the year its a nightmare when coupled to well timed road closures, but what infuriates me more than anything is how tha average motorist seems to think that the highway code and road markings dont apply when santa comes to town. And just for the record, yes beemer drivers are the worst culprit

Yes now I am off till next year I dare say I will be draged screaming around the shops. strange thing is Larisa expects me to stand foe ages whilst she tries every shoe and dress on in all the shops we go in, but will not come in to a motor store ie Halfords as " it is boreing". she thought I was made to buy a PC for myself for christmas, but I dare say she will enjoy driving her nice clean shiney detailed Vectra though.

I've just taken a "quick" lunchbreak trip to the shops as my Dad decided to stuff my present ideas. My parents had been asking me if I had Pirates of the Carribean so they could borrow it, so I bought the first one for Mum and the 2nd for Dad. Except Dad's bought the two for Mum so it's mine that have to go back. Got as far into HMV to see a queue 5 miles long and turned around. Have to try one evening this week, as I can spare 3 hours to queue up then

To top it off some t**t almost smashed into me. Apparently when in slow moving traffic you should give way to the self important middle aged guy in his people carrier turning into the carpark without signalling at 40mph. When I'm already halfway accross the entrance. I returned his guestures in kind.

I still havent bought the wife anything yet.......eeeek!!!!

Nearly went in today, but stopped short of town and was somehow drawn into PC World at the retail park outside of town where I found myself walking out with an X-Box 360 game, Rainbow 6: Las Vegas.

I really, really have to brave the crowds of maniacs tomorrow and get something sorted. Trouble is I have no idea what to buy her!!!.

To buy for the missus; think of something you really like and she likes a bit, get it she'll get fed up with it and you get it. However i didn't follow that rule this year.

Nearly bought her a wireless controller for the xbox today.

And then I thought.......nah....that means I have to speak to her when I'm playing it.
