    Default Some advice needed

    Hi guys i know im relatively new on here.. Dont really post much but i have a quick question for you.. Been thinking of adding some LED light strips to the front of my vectra so i was wondering if any body has done this and how difficult or easy was it and which ones were used many thanks

    Steve when you say LED light strips do you mean Daytime running lights or the flexible strips? I put DTRL's on mine and its very easy, you just need to mount them where you want them then I ran the wires up behind the grill and cable tied them along the front edge of the engine bay, I then connected the earth to 1 of the original bolts by the light cluster and took the live off a spade connector in the front fuse box in the engine bay, that was it done, you have the option to splice into the light wiring loom with a 3rd wire which would allow the lights to come on when the main or side lights are switched on but I taped that one up as I wanted the lights on permanently, so as soon as my key is put in the ignition the lights come on and when the key is removed the lights stay on for around 5-10 seconds before turning themselves off, I think they look great and when its dark gives a little more illumination while your walking away from the car.

    Vectra Lights.jpg sorry its the only one I have and does not really do it justice, they are very bright and are on permanently.

    Cheers mate they look really good... iwas thinking of placing mine in the slats where your fog lights are as my vec dosent have any

    are these not illegal to be day running lights dont they have to a certain hight ?

    I have mine running off the lighter and would like them to come on like yours can u tell me or show a pic of the fues box so we know what spade u tapped into.

    easier with this auto switch turns drl's off when lights are switched on and visa versa
