Default Freshen up the headlights 3m restorer kit vectra c

Both my head lights on my Vectra c were looking decidedly grim and yellow.
Rather than replace them i thought i'd have a go at fixing them myself first.
I ordered up a 3M headlight restorer kit from amazon.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ls_o00_s00_i00

It turned up yesterday so i got to work masking up the headlight.
The instructions were very easy to follow if a little nerve racking in the earlier stages when your head light is sanded with the 500 grit paper.
After about 45mins of sanding and polishing these are the results.
I will be doing the other one tonight.

all done using a house hold drill.

I think tooth paste is old school, as i tried to use it to polish my under bonnet mirrors and it was pap... Maybe back in the day when tooth paste had less/more stuff in etc?

... but Brasso is £2, sanded mine and used Brasso and its worked just as good as the last time i did this with G6 and various other cutting compounds...

    That kit obviously works like

having used this on my head lights it kind of calms me down about using a da to polish the car so i may invest in one of them too soon.
