    Question Exhaust trim removal

    Do you need to remove the rear bumper to remove the black exhaust trim or can it be done while still on the car? thanks Rich

    its a royal pain in the butt to do it. And that was with the bumper removed.... You need time, effort and quite a bit of force to do it

    i'm planning on fitting the vxr insert, my pockets are not deep enough for the full skirt at the mo

    Dont make more work by removing the whole bumper, start at one corner once you have jacked up the rear end. Get yourself a small screw driver and from underneath pop out those tiny round clip hole things. Then at one side start to pull the insert outwards and it will slowly BIT BY BIT start to come off. You will be surprised it will need a little tug but when it starts to come off its easy.

    I got mine off no problem, as PIMM said use a small screwdriver and it shouldn't be a problem to get off

    it's now off, cheers guys, and yeah it was easy, only took a few mins once the car was jacked up. i will be picking up my VXR insert today, is it a direct swap?

    yes its the same fittings and everything, uses the same plastic plug things as the sri one
