Default Change to EGR Valve from Vauxhall?

Just bought a new EGR Valve for my 120 1.9 vectra and it seems to be slightly different.............

The top of the egr which the plug attaches to is now facing down now up like before. Now i took it apart to turn it around but the holes are different so cant Has anyone else had this issue or will it be ok like this? Ive driven around all week like this and seems fine mind you!

P.s i have blanked the egr bottom off with a plate with 3 small holes in and seems spot on!

With the egr blanking plate fitted are you getting any errors on the dash?
Looking into blanking our egr off as it seems to be causing us some issues ATM.

no thats how they come now with the connection facing down - I put a cable tie around it as well just to prevent it falling out.

If the blank has a hole in it you won't get the warning light on the dash - there are two types of holed blanks - one with one centre hole or the Fiat modification type that has three holes in the centre.

Either will do the job - I have the Fiat one fitted to my 120 and not had any problems - Fiat (who designed the 120/150 engine) bought out the blank with 3 holes in it to resolve issues that were occurring with the EGR system and it can be bought from a Fiat dealer. You can also buy a blank that has a single hole that will also work and not bring up any warning lights. Some people put a blanking plate without a hole in and then have the EGR valve mapped out to resolve the warning light issue. There is a How 2 that shows a picture of the Fiat blanking plate.
