Surely it depends on how much the petrol that you're buying costs. How many gallons/litres are you putting in for £10 and how do you know for sure when it's gone?
And how heavy your right foot is, my 20t will go just over 20 miles if driven enthusiastically !!
I would say it sounds about right.
I get around 350 miles out of a full tank, mostly motorway miles.... my fuel consumption on the trip shows 30.0 Mpg.
i have been driving it like a old lady. no turbo action at all. i do the same miles and same journey everyday. just done my first 1000 miles. :-)
just seems to be very heavy on differant days. not sure if its to do with using more feul when cold as the car never really gets warm.
ok thanks. going to fill her up this week and see how it goes. not that im moaning just wondered if thats how it should be.
cheers for the info guys
The 2.0t is very thirsty for the first 3-5 miles, til is warms up.
My trip computer is currently showing 33.6 average mpg on cumulative. Used to get around 31.5 when new, car now has about 46k on it and does same journey all the time - 30% A road, 70% motorway - hardly any urban.
Not light footed and use the turbo when necessary.
As others have already said this engine is well juicy when cold but can burn lean once warm - plus it's so low revving and relaxed on the motorway in sixth...
