    Default 2 heater Questions!

    2 little heater questions :-

1, When you turn the temperature dial all the way round (both ways) on the standard heater set up it gives a click before it comes to a stop. Any reason for this? Does it turn something on/off?

2, Has anyone done the glove box mod? And is it compatible with the standard heater/AC?

    Cheers

i presume you're talking about standard AC and not CC?

in which case i haven't noticed the dial making a clicking sound when going to either extremity of the heater dial, although maybe there is some resistance before getting to the very end, don't pay much attention TBH

and what is the glove box mod?

Yep standard ac, its not a sound but a feel if you know what I mean, smooth all the way round, then resistance for about 10 degrees then dead stop.

Heated or chilled glove box via the ac.

i feel that - i think so that you can feel the stop when you aren't looking at it - ie driving.

not sure, but in some countries you can have Quickheat (a seperate small heater element), and Quickheat is activated by turning the dial to max temp

and as far as I know the cooled glove box only goes together with ECC (on the side of the glove box there is a small hole with a little switch to open/close the airco flow)

they stink out the car enough already, without being heated up in the glovebox!

was at traffic lights and made a point to check this.......i know, it's sad!

as you said, not click, but definitely not as smooth as the rest of the settings.

Ours here wouldn't have that would they? We have an early SRI which was spec'd up as standard before they removed the toys. The missus has always commented on how fast it defrosts the windscreen using the special button to do so or do they all defrost qucikly with this button?
