Default advice needed on a ebay sale please !!

hi i sold a set of celica rear lights for a total of £39 inc pp and the seller isnt happy with them and opened a case on ebay which i have said if he returns the item i will give a full refund to which he said no he wants money first and if i dont hes taking me court and going to the police but i am following what ebay says and will refund once items are returned.

am i in the right or is he ?

You are right mate. The buyer would need to return the item first to qualify for a refund.

If he doesn't want to do this, let him contact the police, courts etc. They will laugh him out the room.

If someone buys a pair of jeans for example and they are faulty, you don't go back to the store and ask for your money back first then return the goods.

If he has opened a case on ebay and you have accepted the return then he has to post them back and a full refund can be made upon receipt of the returned goods. Police will not be interested in this matter.

What the lads said, he needs to return the lights first. He's trying to scam you by refunding the money and keeping the light. Let go to the police and you'll here them laff him out of the station

As everyone else has said. Once hes opened a case he has to post back to you at his expense recorded/courier then you issue a refund

I think you are about to be shafted. He will say he has returned them to you, when he hasn't, and he will claim his money back via paypal and keep the rear lights too. BTW on what grounds is he not happy with them?
