Default is this right? mr clutch

had my clutch done about 5months ago and they told me that in afew months bring it back so they can adjust it. (i thought you dont adjust them)

anyway, afew months down the line ive noticed that its starting to get hard to get into gear. and i only have alittle bit of clutch.so sometimes i struggle getting it in gear.
rang mr clutch up and they said bring it down and leave it with us.

afternoon comes i get a phone call saying its not the clutch thats faulty.. its the master cylinder.... ARE THEY LYING ????????

never had to adjust a clutch before, it could be the master cylinder but maybe get a second opinion if you can

You cant adjust the clutch as its hydraulic.

It either needs bleeding or the master cylinder is failing.

I think they must mean the clutch realease bearing. Is the clutch realease bearing on the invoice?
It should have been changed at the same time as the clutch if not then its likely that has failed, also they may not have bothered changing it but charged you for it.
The same has just happened to a friend and it was found to the clutch release bearing which again was on the invoice but not changed by the garage.
Also the clutch is self adjusting so it shows how little Mr clutch know about clutches on Vectras!

Is the car using/leaking any brake fluid as if it has its a sure sign the CRB has gone.
The Master cylinder also works the brakes so if they work then I would assume the Master Cylinder is ok? Can anyone confirm that?
Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

Well Mr Clutch in Slough did mine and they changed the full 4 piece clutch kit (LUK ) and Sachs flywheel and gave me all the old parts back.

they knew the job backwards - were happy for me to even stay and watch if I wanted.. They told me that they do many of these in there differet guize (Saab, Alfa, Vx ETC)..

No issue with Mr Clutch in SL at all.. You also go back for the first three 500 mile intervals for a check and that keeps your warrant up.
