    Default lh_4827's Signum 2.2

Although i loved the 306 HDi, it had to go. i needed something bigger and more comfortable (the missus has back problems, and struggles with the suspension on the 306)

so i was offered a 2.2l Vauxhall Signum in excellent condition with a FSH and only 38k on the clock:

first up, changing the lights in the boot. i say changing, but i really mean fitting, as the were no bulbs in the holders:

then the interior lights to match

    then came the HID's
    before:

    after:

    eyebrows:

which were swiftly removed when i hit a rather fat pigeon... got another set here undergoing painting, but not sure whether to fit them or not

the 2.2 signum has dual exit exhausts as standard, but they are hidden away on this spec. this is not to my liking, so a quick trip to MIJ took me from this:

    to this:

    4.5x3 inch ovals

K&N panel filter and airbox modded. has flattened out the flat spots, and improved pick up from low revs.

went over the car today with the rotary to lessen some of the scratches the car has, and to get a nice shine on it..

that is true, but it feels gutless compared to the HDi. it was remapped and pulled like a tank.. this has the same power, but is heavier and has far less torque.

I've had a 2.2i direct and two 150 CDTIs ... the 2.2 is wonderfully smooth but you gotta squeeze it hard to get it to go,.. whereas the 1.9 pulls like a train and far easier to drive. That is a very nice siggy

not keen on the spacing of the wheels,.. but still a damn fine Siggy,... I think you have the best colour for one
(I think 10mm would have looked better)

I saw Caveman-nige's and loved the spaced out look of the wheels. 10mm didnt really seem that much different to be honest, and the 20's look really spaced from up close, but from a distance, not so bad. i like it anyway..

this is the photo that decided it for me:
