Default how low can i go without rubbing the arches - vectra

hey guys. got a vecctra 1.9cdti sri just wondering whats the lowest you can drop the car with the original shocks, 17in alloys and tyres without the tyres rubbing on the arches. i like my cars low but still drivable. what would be the best springs for the job and would this firm up the ride as its a little too soft for my liking.
    cheers

I've only had a bit of rubbin since fitted spacers with a car full, but not the arch the rear bumper part that sticks out... Without spacers I think you can go as low as you like, even on snowies...
