Default NV08WSY facts - CDTi 150 estate Flood damaged

A bit of a hello and goodbye thread sadly... but just an internet reference point for any future purchaser of NV08WSY, a Panacotta CDTi 150 estate, coupled with a factory tow pack, ESP, Navigation and 6 speed automatic. Elsewhere on this forum you may have read my efforts to attempt some scuba diving with the Vectra (in very little water to start off with). However now Arriva/Blue cycle own the car, due to it being a total loss.

So I thought I ought to post here incase anyone unwittingly buys it - i'm sure it might be fixed fine, but you takes your chances! In reality it seems the water never breached the interior, but I'm not 100%.

However I definitely sucked plenty into the engine As it cleared the airflow meter...

The actual car was mint, had been serviced every 10k with genuine GM bits, and had had new rear discs/pads 4000 miles ago too. No issues at all, I even (accidentally) left the navigation disc in it... I doubt the 3/4 of a tank of diesel is still in it however. All I have is the mats and the sound deadening left. Oh and a nice cheque!

Thanks for the tips all, maybe I might end up on here again one day???

    Cheers Andrew
