    Default Engine Cough / Hesitation

It has developed a habit of giving a slight hesitation at about 1500 - 2000 revs when changing gear. No lights come on.

I have changed the filters and had a mate in a garage look at it and he can't fell or hear the same thing i do.

He said all that they can feel is a slight play in the flywheel. Should i be concerned or would that give the same results I am feeling or could it be something else.

    Kind Regards

    Any help would be great

Pleasure - can't guarantee anything but cured mine and if you do the first part - ie remove the filter it takes less than 15 mins to do!

I have just tried to get to the filter. I took off the black cap by squeezing it together but the filter wouldn't come away from the block. What am i doing wrong?

You need to persuade it with a sharp flat bladed knife - it will come off

If your carefull taking it off it shoud'nt break mate, if you do want to re-fit after cleaning just use a bit of glue to bond it in place, but have a go with it off first it wont do any harm

Just an up date, I took off the filter last night and there was a small hole in it. I am going to leave it off and see how it goes.

Now onto the strange rattle at the back near side. The joys of owning a Vectra.
