    Default tyre width

Okay, i put a post up RE type of tyres on a budget (i need 4 and money tight) cannot find my original post all I can remember is someone said try Camski...

anyway my tyre size is 215/55/16

can you put different sizes on the rims eg: 205/55/16???
or does it have to be the proper size.. anyone know any cheapish (GOOD) tyres or a place apart from Camski where I can check and compare prices??

    Thanks

Black circle and love tyres, my tyres or ebay.

You need to keep the circumference of the tyre as close to the original as possible.

205/55/16 or 205/60/16 should be ok also. Though 215/55/16 would be best if thats the correct size. 205/55/16 will be a little harsher and 205/60/16 a little more comfortable. Why do you want to change the size?

My money would probably be going on the michelin HP's, but it depends what you class as Cheap. to me anything under £110 a corner is very good, but mine are closer to 250-300 a corner for good tyres.

My mate just put thesehttp://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s292p...5R16_97Y_XL_TL_on his civic and rates them

All of that brand are just plain dangerous in the wet. My advice, steer well clear.

I had those on a car, on it when I bought it. First time out in the rain I was sideways round a round a bout whilst a little old lady in a micra undertook me. Took them off the very next day.

Loads of choice online. The likes of Falken, Avon, Kumho are decent. Just avoid the cheapest including Nexen.
