    Default Revs itself whilst idling.

Hello all, first sorry for my first post being a problematic one but here goes.
Car is 2006 and lately while idling and only with aircon or fans on, it will idle normally then say every 30 seceonds to a minure it will rev till about 900rpm then back down and the engine will vibrate a little.
I opened the bonnet and the fans at the front will be running (only with aircon on) and the valve thing that moves above the turbo will slightly open and shut.
Car drives fine, only other issues, although doubt its related is slight DMF rattle at idle and slightly blowing flexi pipe.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Instant MPG is 0.2 at idle and about 0.4 with aircon on, and no I dont think it increased while it happens, definetly not to 1.0, as I checked incase it was trying to regenerate.

Check the alternator is putting out at least 13.5 to 14volts at idle, car revving by itself is a sign the alternator on the way out.

Vehicle : Mk1 renault scenic... I know I know but it drives

    Trim : Basic

    Engine : 1.6 16v

    Year : 2003

Worth Taking car for a good thrashing.

Not speed. REVS need to be at least 4000 revs for good few miles
The v6 seems to get coked up really easy an start chocking its self.

Mine hunts every so often only up an down a small amount of revs but just needs good Italian tune up an everything will be fine agen.

Also as mentioned check batt and alternator as one could failing an the added current draw from aircon pump causing it to struggle

I had this once before just after a very flat battery. Throttle position sensor needed to be reset. I just floored it and let it off. That stopped it. Just a thought.

Cant get it checked till weekend, had more of a check and thinking something to do with aircon since it just does it with aircon on, even when the fan is on zero. Had new waterpump fitted not so long ago, not sure if they disturbed something while poking around.
Btw anyone had software updates? Not sure if any were brought out and to my knowledge none have been done.

A little update, got the car serviced with fuel filter change and the voltage checked which was all fine but its now doing this even with the aircon off. Will cleaning the throttle body help this? Looks a little tricky to get to.
