Default 3.2 Veccy C rough Idling

    Hi Guys
Car got idling problems, when air conditioning is on idling's good but when its off rpm drop and becomes rough, needle spikes abit. Also its eating up more fuel then normal, on a full tank i would barely crack 450k's. Any advice would be great.

Mechanics reckons the injector harness as shown in pix below needs replacing, they zipped tied it together. Could this be the problem and does anyone know the part no. for the whole harness??
    Cheers

I'd look at 'cheap' fixes first.... breathers cleaning, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter and some fuel system cleaner would be better things to do and could also be considered normal periodic servicing. If that cable tie is doing the job in holding the two halves of the connector together, then as long as the connections inside are working, changing it is pretty much a cosmetic exercise.

    Hey Mark,

Disconnect the MAF sensor, and see if it makes any difference. If it doesn't, the MAF sensor could need a clean in some isopropyl alcohol cleaner.

Also, your inbox is full. Just a heads up. You can now sign up to OpelAus with a free email account. Hope to see you over there
