2.2direct sri gearbox

hi...i'm having a bit of trouble with the gearbox....it used to be nice and slick when
changing gear now it's very notchy and seem's to be getting worse...any ideas....cheer's mark..

Probably clutch. Don't know about 2.2's. Is it petrol or diesel?

2.2 direct is petrol, try checking gearbox oil level,is it in all gears including 6th, is your clutch working as it should when you first had it?

Ah right. At least he does'nt have the dreaded dmf!!

Oh yes he does, a 2.2 direct has a DMF, they just dont go wrong on a petrol engine like a diesel as there is not the amount of torque to smooth out

mines does 73k and not a knock or rumble and a lot of town driving

Having mine done on the hearse in a few weeks, price is horrendous!!

hi...i dont have a 6th gear.....already had gear box oil changed, the box was nice and slick when i first got the car.....the box just seem's to crunch when changing gear...
not very mechanicly minded so what is this DMF...

Dual Mass Flywheel. Notorious on diesels and costs an arm and a leg. Is clutch noisy when you press yours?
