    Default Creaking noise

I am needing help to diagnose what is actually wrong with my car now as i am at my wits end with it!This creaking noise started off a couple months back where i would get a loud creak when reversing of my driveway whilst on full lock, never did it any other time other than when it was on full lock.I recently changed, all springs, front drop links, bearings, top mounts, rear control arms, rear anti roll bar bushes. The creaking seemed to go away for a few days after i fitted it all. But it is now back with a vengance.Everytime i set of moving whether it be in 1st or reverse i get a almighty creak from around the drivers front suspension area or steering knuckle area. It also does it when i am braking, or when the car comes on boost in 2ndor 3rd or when i turn a right hand corner.I have tried spraying the radiator mounts and engine mounts with some WD40 but no avail. Can anyone give me any ideas or pointers before i push it of a cliff!

drive shafts and cv are unlikely to creak tbh, i would be looking at top mounts but spraying on bush with lots of wd40 then tryin it, keep doin the with all bushes until the noises stop . . . . BINGO the last one to get a soaking is the problem!!!

Well another day of investiagting and no joy. Two garages have no idea what it is either. They can hear the noise loud and clear just can'y diagnose where its coming from, even remove shocks, top mounts and bearings and said they were all perfect re fitted it all and the noise is still there. Well and truely sick of the sight of car now.

I had exactly the same issue with my active saloon when I bought it (I bought car from autovison in Inverness and the problem started 2 weeks after delivery)

they couldn't find the issue and replaced the front and rear suspension under warranty, at one point they nearly condemned the car as they couldn't guarantee the safety of the vehicle! They delivered the car back but the creaking started again after 3 days, anyway to cut a long story short, I got the car on my mates ramp at his house, and lent on the slam panel as I pondered the issue, It moved about 1/4 inch and made the same noise, straight back to vauxhall and 1 hour later it was all sorted, apparently 3 bolts had sheared, how this happened when the car has never been in an accident is Anyones guess but worth a check bud

If it's a really nasty metallic sound try clearing out the little stoneguards at the 6 o'clock point on the suspension side of the disc. I had a hellish sound on mine last year - sounded more like a rusty tank moving off than a car! - eventually narrowed it down to stone/debris buildup there. The guard is tiny but you can get a meaty screwdriver in from underneath and lever is away from the disc.
