difference between daytime running lights and daytime styling lights ????/

right daytime running lights must switch off with the sidelights
but daytime styling lights come on with the sidelights is that right ?

am after some led strip thingys to go along the bottom of me headlights. as far as i can tell if they are wired up to the sidelights they dont need to be e marked ?

well a few years ago i was stopped for having daytime styling lights but when i told him i was a mot tester and they r legal because they are auxiliary side lights he didnt seem so keen in what he was sayin, however with the introduction of drl the chance of being stopped is unlikely it would be a huge can of worms for them because there is so many cans and cannot s even if they did i reckon u would get off in a magistrates court, how can drl be legal and axillary side lights not be, but u cannot put them anywear they have to be forward facing and ill find the positions soon lol

I don't really care tbh lol.. mine are on all the time regardless of sidelight being on or not. They are not that bright.. in my mind helps others see me on the road so all safety to me.
