    Switch ignition on
Make sure Headunit is switched off
Press "AS", keep pressed and switch on stereo
You will here a bleep, and the display requests the code
Use radio presets 1 to 4 to input code pressing each preset as many times as the digit in the code
Press "AS" again, keep pressed until unit is functional.

1.9cdti would probably be full canbus, if so and its a cd30/cd70/cdc40 then the screen needs to be programmed to the radio via the car security pass. Its making me wonder why its doing that in the first place though.....

I can answer this one, as I answered his previous thread..

Okay you got the Vectra, which was fitted with a display and a Sony Xplod head-unit.

You removed the Xplod head-unit, and bought a replacement CD30

Now then - if either the display or the head-unit are in divorced state, then you will get an intermittent pop-up message saying display safe.

If they are both paired, but not to each other, then the message will stay on all the time.

Now then - from what I understand, you have fitted a CD30, but not the matched display.
What you need to do, is pair the display and the CD30 using Tech 2 or Vaux-com.

I am guessing that the display is your car's original unit that it left the factory with.
If that is the case, then the Audio pass should be in your owner's pack - a red cardboard credit card thing.
On there will be a 4 digit security code.
I am guessing that you need to get your dealer or someone equipped with the devices that I mentioned above, to pair your new cd30 to the exisiting display using the security code described.

You didn't mention if the pop-up message is popping up every 5 seconds, or if it is on all the time.

If it is on all the time, then you need to get the original security code for the CD30.
Without this, you will not be able to reset it to divorced or factory state.

You will need to have the CD30 divorced, before it can be married / paired to the display.

If the message is popping up every 5 seconds, then the head-unit is already divorced, and you simply need to get it paired to the display.
