Few things with my cdti

Hi guys, i have a few queries regarding my cdti that have been bugging me recently. firstly i keep getting the spanner light on the dash, the car runs normally but still has the error, i changed the glow plugs and it went out for a bit but is back again, if i warm the car a bit and restart, it goes away for a while. I have also part blanked the egr valve but the error was there before this. It does go out for a minute but then goes back on again. Secondly, the car seemed a little sluggish at first but i took it for a good hard drive and after this its been performing really well but the fuel consumption is a little high and i get the turbo spool whistle at lower revs when i didnt before! i do have a tuning box fitted but again, was fitted before the issue.

Any ideas?

Hi Dan,

Have you tried cleaning the boost sensor (located next to the EGR).

Wondering if this could cause the intermittant car/spanner light???

there is a glow plug relay (silver thing attached to the outside of the battery). These can go.

Have you cleaned the boost sensor. Simple how 2 on here.

Have you tried a code reader to see what the fault is? You could have two faults, the original one and maybe one for the EGR.
