    Default Corsa c cv boot

This thing is a pain the the a$$, 4 times it's been replaced since last august. O/s boot keeps snapping clips or sliding off. I've tried tie wraps, heavy duty clips, jubilee clips, but they all seem to fail shortly thereafter. I've had a garage do it twice incase it was me, but still the same. Every time it's been done i've made sure the area is spotless where the boot slides on.
Anyone got any hints or tips for it?

Are you using genuine boot? And the proper clip?

Used genuine, tried pattern parts, tried the proper clips, jubilee clips and they all seem to fail. Apparently they are a common fault on the corsa but this is taking the pee

Genuine boot and clip that comes with it..

Jubilee are a no no aparently, use the 'squash' type clips and you should be fine with gen boot kit.

If it's keeps going at this rate i'll need to replace the joint etc anyway, Doesnt matter how well it's cleaned, i can guarantee there will be dirt work its way in somehow and it'll be grinding away at the internals

do you have excess movement in the inner joint? Just trying to understand how this may happen.

Worth asking VX is the part (complete shaft) has been revised?

Nope, no excess movement, I did on the other side but it was the inner track rod which I replaced. Just seems to be an issue with these cars

I ended up fitting one of the stretch over boots and use the metal clips that clip over themselves then you 'pinch' it up with the right tool.

Not had it come off since.

    Clips like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-PAIRS-ST...item27c6c86813
