Have just fitted a pair of Meyle droplinks (Polyflex ARB bushes to be done later) and have tightened the nuts as best I can using an 18mm ring-spanner and a 5mm Allen key in the end of the bolt but I don't know whether or not they are tight enough.

How can the nuts be torque-loaded to 65Nm, apart from using an 18mm crowsfoot? If the car's weight is taken on the wheels would that prevent the joint from turning? And are the nuts accessible with the wheels fitted and the car on the ground?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't tested the car yet but one of the old joints has some play so I'm hoping it will cure the clonking noise evident when driving over holes in the road.
