Default My boot wont shut properly! Mighr have blown something!

I was installing a 3 way 12v adapter in the car for my in-car dvr and hands free set. I bought it from a car boot sale (uh oh!). I hooked it all up and plugged in the dvr. Nothing happend. No power. I disconnected tge adapter and plugged the dvr in the front and back 12v sockets. It worked so concluded the cheap afapter had gone pop. I locked the car and went to get the wife as we were going to the beach. Returned to the car and went to open the boot. It wouldnt open. I pressed the key fob and the buttons in the car but no luck. I had to use the key in the boot to open it. When i shut it it wouldnt catch. I had to use the key again to lock it. Even though it wont open with it manually locked there is still alot of play in the boot lid. When you press the button on the boot you can hear the motor operate so whats broken?

I thought id check the fuse box but that got more confusing. Where the boot lock fuse should be was empty. I dont have rear electric windows but there are two 30amp fuses in the slot. The alarm is supposed yo have a 7.5 amp fuse but there is a 5a. Im using haynes as a reference. Which is correct? Here is a pic of what ive got and what haynes says.

    Can anyone help?

The boot has now miraculously fixed itself except for the warning on the dash and the bong noise whenever I pull away.
