My07 1.9 cdti rear door won't open.

I've searched google etc without a real answer hence this post.
My07 vectra, the osr door has decided it doesn't wanna open anymore from the inside or outside.
I've managed to get the doorcard off without any damage.
I can see that while operating both handles everything seems attached as should be on the door mech.
So I'm presuming the door mech is at fault internally.
So how do I open the door to replace it?
Any tips or guides?

i had a similar thing happen to my vectra b the door would not open

mine was the soleinoid had gone

mine was when i put the deadlocks on

was your deadlocks on?

Door pin is operating as normal, so it's not a solenoid or deadlock IMO.
Gonna have to replace the door latch mechanism if I can get the door open?

By luck today we've come to change the door latch mech.
Locking, unlocking many times the door opened.

All stripped down I tried a 2nd hand unit on it.
It worked.
Started building it back up and then it stopped!
Ffs stripped the door loom out, checked it with the meter and all is fine.
Checked from b post to drivers front sill. There's 2 breaks.
Stripped loom cover off, found the thick brown wire and the thin black and red wire completely cut in half.
Wires repaired job sorted.
Breaks were in the rubber between the door and b post.

common'ish problem, had this happen on mine with the brown, caused an alarm fault and electric window fault...

i have never heard of this, how would a wire break in 2 places?
