Default New disc and pads quote from dealers

Popped into the dealers having seen Vauxhall advertise fixed price prices for various work. Anyway funnily enough my 3.2 wasn't included in it but they wanted over £350 for front discs and pads eventually coming to £270 with my 25% off. Surely discs and pads can't cost that much unless i'm getting an upgrade lol

I'd be checking the price for the discs + pads kit first... sourcing elsewhere if required but then doing the job myself on my GSi. Mechanically it's really not that hard a job.

Don't bother with dealer pads there crap!, Ive had my vectra from new (04 rg) & when i changed the rear pads i thought i was doing the best thing by using genuine pads as the factory ones lasted years (about 5-6), The so called original replacement parts are Taiwan crap & if id have used the car as often as i did in the first 5 yrs the replacement pads would have been lucky to have lasted 1 yr, I changed the fronts with pads from a local supplier & there doing loaaaaaaads better than the vx rears!.

I've got a quote for front discs and pads, supplied and fitted (314mm discs)
    £168.00
Rather than apply a discount, they advised this was simply 1.0 hours labour (to be carried out at the same time as next service)

Never ever had a problem with pads the dealer has supplied to me for any of my Vauxhall cars.
