Getting nasty noise over big bumps

Guys, getting a bad front suspension noise over large bumps, had the car up on the ramps and we cant find anything visually, funny thing is my bro's corsa SRi does the same thing, he has even changed the shocks all round but still makes the noise on the front, my car is worse from cold, seems better when warm, any ideas appreciated?
