    Red face mowax checking in.....

    Afternoon,

Thought I'd sign up and say "hello" and then after signing up I realised that this might just be for the newer vectra C's (did have one, it's a long story) but back with an old 1999 2.0 Litre old skool vectra with a few suspension problems, do we have any where on the site that I could still get some advice are is it all newer type cars that you guys can help with.

Least I know where to come when I get a new one eh?

    Thanks and see ya'all around.

Thanks guys, I actually bought a newer vectra and had me fingers burnt, so got me old one back (the one that I'm talking about now) here's what's going on with it.

There was a "clunking" started about a week and a half ago, and then what ever it was flew of the car on a round about.

Took it to the local garage, it had a snapped drivers side spring, so they have replaced it and also when they were on I got them to do the back suspension as on it's mot advisory they had "slight play" so had 2 x new bushes put on the back as well.

They also put a track rod end on the front passenger side of the car.

Now after getting the car back the tracking is out, took it back and they altered it and instead of it pulling to the right like it was it's now pulling to the left.

So I thought I'd go to a garage that has the computer alinement's, not the laser one but a bluetooth one they told me, then they come back and told me that they could not start on the front wheels as the back wheels are out as well, so went and had a look with the chap and the reading on the machine was well in the red, they told me they can't get the bolts loose to do them.

1st, didn't know they had adjustments on the back, he says they have the same set up as a BMW on the back wheels.

2nd. Should I get a spring done on the passenger side as really you should replace both sides of the car no?

3rd. Time to scrap it, or muster on?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    EDIT:

OK took it to "Kwik Fit" and the have done the front wheels for me and the guy showed me underneath it and he can't find any where where you could adjust the back wheels, so one garage saying that you can and one garage saying that you can't ?

Just put 2 new tyres on the front as one was illegal (I was told!) so now with the tracking done I'll keep an eye on them.

    Thanks
