    Default Car keeps unlocking :(

    Hi all,
Noticed the other morning that I couldnt open my car using the key fob. I had to use the key, and it set the alarm off.
Now I have come out to find the windows half open . I shut the windows, and came out 10 mins later to find the car open
Any ideas? Key fob batteries? would that unlock my car whilst they are hanging on a hook ?
Thanks in advance for any help offered.
P.S. Would locking the car manually by the key stop any unlocking problems?

    Kev

Sounds like the unlock button on the key is possibly shorting occasionally. If the button was pressed or made for a period it would unlock the doors and open the windows. Has the key been dropped in water or got wet at all?

No, it hasnt got wet to my knowledge. I have had my spare key in my jacket pocket, so maybe that has got pressed somehow. It is now on the hook too! Thanks for replying

It might sound odd but I had some of your problems when my battery started to fail.

Could be completely unrelated but I thought I should
    mention it.

Mine did this on a night it was ****ing down so I would say good suggestion with regards to the key being wet - possibly. But mine did it just after I had the alternator replaced. The car had been sitting 3weeks with a dead battery. Is the battery ok?

Seemed it sort itself out don't ask me how. Can only imagine the battery must have gotten a good charge.

Well I sat waiting for someone the other day, and I had the hazards on, and the cd player. The indicators started to go out of sync after a while, so I started the car.....just !! I had been sat there a fair while though, but it still surprised me. I havent really had any problems with the battery other than that. That was about January.
