just started with A Flux and they want a copy of my licence, this is the first i`ve heard of an insurance wanting this, unless its a new thing, its just seems a bit much as in they don`t believe in what i have told them detail wise when i started it up in the first place, either that or they are clamping down perhaps and want more off you nowdays

To prove you have a full lisence am that you have the amount of points you say etc

Been with flux for 3 years now an I think it's great. I believe all company's should do it. As that way stops people lying about points bans etc just to get cheaper insurance

I've recently started a new policy and they wanted a copy of my driving licence and counterpart, which was the first time I've heard of it, but the alternative was a conference call between me, the insurer and the DVLA. By the sounds of it, it's just another check now to make sure people are who they say they are and declare any endorsements they have earned in the past.

After a recent accident, I had to have this conference call with the DVLA and Insurer to get my courtasy car, a bit odd but the red tape seams to go on and on.

This sounds a bit too much to me. Surely they can check you're who you say you are and the number of points you have from your license number.

Yes, but you (as the customer) have to pay for this
