    Lightbulb Help with Fault

    Hi all,
I have owned my Vectra CDTi for coming upto 2 weeks now.....just after getting it, the service light was flashing intermittently. We changed the fuel filter which was absolutely mingin.
This was done on sat.....We drove it to Oxford and it was running as sweet as a nut, however on the way home, the car started hesitating and the spanner car light kept flashing every time it was hesitating and then stayed on permanently. My partner took it on a blast to try and trigger the EML which it did. The code was P0203 which is the third injector who has already been replaced as it is newer than the other 3. One minute it drives perfectly then the next it struggles to go anyway. This evening, my partner stripped the EGR valve and cleaned it up, then took the fuel filter back out and refitted it. The car drove perfectly fine for about half hour but then played up with the spanner light flashing it's balls off and the car hesitating. It would appear I need a 3rd injector as this is the fault code above, but just wanted to make sure it was that simple??
    Any ideas anyone???

have a look at this post i found

I cleaned mine about 3 months ago after getting a how to from a vx mechanic friend of mine. I cleaned up the solenoid side and re greased and cleaned out the spring side with carb cleaner. It was running fine until about a month ago when the symptoms changed. My car started to judder a around 2000 and then 2500 rpm but only when accelerating slowly through the rev range. It was as though there was a misfire. Reading though our the forum it seemed as though it was the old 'injector No 3' wiring issue which a replaced a couple of weeks ago but this didn't fix the problem. The other thing i found herre was a possible injector problem but before I spent a few hundred quid on an injector I thought i'd check the EGR again. I discovered that the 'spring' side was sticking very slightly when depressed. It just didn't seem completely smooth, so, I cleaned it out again and greased the sleave that the bar runs through...... Success!! did this yesterday and my car is running smooth as kojaks head again!!

Car/spanner light isn't the service light. It's the engine electronics fault light, immobilser fault, & autobox fault light (if not a manual gearbox)

Service light is actually the word "InSP" briefly appearing in the odometer display when you first turn the key when the car is due a service.

I take it the handbook is missing that informs of what all the lights in the speedo housing means?

£15.72 to be precise The first Vauxhall place I spoke tried to tell me that there wasn't such a repair kit and that I needed to take the car in to have the prob diagnosed.....I tried to explain that I already knew what the fault was but he wasn't having any of it. So, told him where to go and called another Local Vauxhall Garage and I only had to mention the prob and the response I got was, 'you need the repair kit'.....At least someone knew what I was after!!!
I just hope it is this and nothing else! Lol
