    Default 2.8T Bluefin maps?

    Hi guys,

    If you dont already know, I own a 2007 Vectra 2.8T V6 Z28NET version.

The car is booked in at Courtenay Sport later this month for stage 1 map, airbox mods, filter and plugs, with RR session.

Obviously this will probably be the best type of map as its tweaked for the car etc... However I was wondering about the superchips bluefin and how it would compare to a courtenay map (Considering they use superchips maps anyway, but can tweak as needed).

Reason being is that to go to courtenay, I will have to take a day off work, seeing as im an IT contractor that means I will miss out on my days earnings.... Which effectively bumps up the 'cost' of going to courtenay for the work.

Please convince me to take the day off!

I get 282 bhp amd 375 ftlb torque from my 2.8T auto signum .

Sounds pretty good to me to be honest. I suppose a plus side to the bluefin is that I can remove the map and view error codes with it.

Courtenay reckon about the same figures as the superchips map which the buefin would put on anyway...

I now leaning towards getting my mechanic to fit my NGK plugs, Filter and mod the airbox for me then I'll load up a superchips maps with the bluefin.

I suppose I would get the bluefin for the 2.8T (230ps) even though mine is the 250ps Z28NET? The figures are still 285BHP.

£399 off demontweaks ebay store with £20 voucher as well. If I can get 280BHP and over 350lb/ft with that then im happy.

Having a similar dilemma, can't make up my mind whether to go the extra distance to courts or bit closer to TMS. Like the ideas of the Bluefin also but just have this niggle I'd like to get it done on a RR incase there are any underlying issues which might effect the end result (coil pack etc).

I think if courts is your preferred choice you just need to go with your gut, it's extra cash but in a few months you'll have forgotten about it
