    Default Vectra electric boot problem

    Hi

I have a vectra design 1.9 cdti 55 plate with an electric boot ... up untill about a week ago it has worked fine. but now it has a mind of its own. it opens if you either lock or unlock the doors and even sometimes when the car is unlocked for a time it will open or close.
The button inside the tail gate for closing the boot has stopped working but the outside button is still functioning along with the button inside the drivers door. The only way to close the boot from the outside is with the keyfob.

Has anyone else had this problem

    Thanks

    Chris

The tailgate microswitch button has jammed in the open position (pressed), quite common, you need to repair or replace that microswitch.

It's more likely to be the one in the boot exterior door handle fella, that's the one that usually jams.
