    Default CDTi - Buying Advice

    Hi,

I am looking at getting my first CDTi and wanted to ask advice before making the commitment.
The car I've looked at has 97k on the clock, it's a facelift 2005 CDTi SRi 120 with service history and has recently had service and timing belt done.
It has VXR style wheels - replicas or original VXR? and 4 new tyres.
It's going for £3995 - too much do you think for the milage?
What should I look out for in a high(ish) milage CDTi?

    Cheers

You could probably pick one up for less with lower miles but on stock rims, also the 120 is that slight bit slower than the 150 but has fewer of the potential issues with swirl flaps for example.

This is however if you like the car then it represents value to you. As such it is worth buying, if that makes sense?

Not bothered about the slightly slower engine, especially if it spares me extra issues!

I did want to spend a bit less, and would love less miles, but the wheels are swaying me to it. How much would I pick a set up on eBay or here?

    Cheers

    Thanks.
What do I need to look out for on a 1.9 that nearly hit 100k? It's been serviced recently and timing belt done so that's good news. Or would you say to go for something with lower milage?
My dad is always (nagging at me!) telling me not to go for high-milers!!
