    rolleyes Wing Mirror problem

It just never stops with these 1.9's
Adjusting the electric drivers side mirror today and I noticed that the passenger one mirrored the same movements as the drivers one.
I pressed the selector buttons to try and give it a kick, but no change. I adjust the drivers and both move. But not if I adjust the passengers.

    Anyone had this problem?

    It's not actually a problem it's a feature

It's incase the missus wants to drive the car and needs to move the mirrors up/down. Saves faffing about with both.

It can be de-activated with tech2, my last car didn't do it but my new one does

    RTFM.

You first set up the drivers door mirror, then set up the passenger door mirror.

The theory behind it is once set up all you need do is adjust the drivers mirror and the passenger one mimics it too.

In practice however, they both don't move exactly together and have a habit of going out of sync.

The passenger one moves closer to where you'd want it to be when you adjust the driver's one. Therefore needing less of an adjustment on the pass one. (in theory)

That's what I take from this feature anyway...

Standard design feature that Vauxhall developed for my wife allowing her to move both mirrors at the same time to just off where they need to be when I drive the car... It was all part of the "anoy the hell out of your husband" extra pack which included being able to mve the seat hight, lumber etc to the most anoying uncomfortable position, moving the mirros as described above, Setting the heating to a tempreture she enjoys only and tuning the radio into her preset station list with trebble / base just right for her ears and not yours....

I tried deactivating this all with Tech2 but could not work out where to plug the decoder into the wife.. Although when she has used this option pack in the car I often will make sugestions as to where I could stick the decoder!

Doh! I've never noticed this 'feature' until now.
Hmm, not keen on it, but I'll get used to it. Good job I asked you guys before I started dismantling the electrics lol
    Thanks
