Default Newbie Help, New Car on the way............

    Hi All,

Just need an answer to a simple question (tried trolling the posts but got confused!!):

On a 2006 Vectra Sri with the GID, is it possible to replace the H/U with an aftermarket unit and retain BOTH s/w controls and display of Head Unit Data?

If so, what brands of H/U are supported?

Car is 3 months away at the moment but need to start saving the pennies now!

    Thanks,

    Gareth

I think there is a can bus interface available , im thinking about ripping my dab cdc40 out and getting a becker unit as it matches the yellow dash lights , got to get my hands on tech 2 and see id i can switch off the auto bass adjustment off st though , you turn the volume up and it goes all shrilly and nasty with loads of distortion , it even turns the bass down on the sub thats running off the sub channel , sounds fantastic at low volume though !
