Default Full Dual Zone Climate Installed Thanks to Plasma

We have been talking recently about the retrofitting of full ECC into a Vectra C. The event has happened and really would have been a non starter without the magnificent help of Dean (Plasma). The event was once again supported by the usual suspects (Happypostie and BobsSignum Khalid and Bob) I really appreciate both of your help as well guys you are real gents. Harry at Autoworks also gets a big shoutout as he allowed me to take over a corner of his business to complete this work and it was truely generous Harry sincerely many many thanks.
We were asked if it was possible to do a How 2 and we did consider it, however it is so intrusive and involved that a How 2 would be just about impossible, there are so many variations to the cars that it is really complicated and it was in parts made up as we went.
As it turned out the work started with dismantleing on Friday afternoon and this took 3 hours to remove the dashboard and loom in order to remove UHP and DAB wiring for inclusion in the new loom.
The main work started on 0830 Saturday moring and finished around 0230 on Sunday morning, Dean and I are well pooped and there are a couple of small items to resolve but the job has put a huge smile on my face.
This is the first time to mine and Deans certain knowledge that a Vectra C has had such a retrofit and in hindsight the amount of work involved means there might not be many more.
I know the calls for pictures will come but I didn't take any as the work was so intense we just forgot, but there are loads of pictures of cars with ECC and mine looks just like those now.
Seriously all those guys mentioned have been immense and I am extremely grateful to you all but to Dean you are without doubt Mr Mod cheers bud

cheers Paul, was a pleasure to do that particular mod, one that HASNT been done before Just a few little wrinkles to iron out but we're almost on top of that issue now

cheers to H, the main man, and Bob and Khalid for the support and help during the day.

What I would say is to make sure you have 100% the correct loom for your car or get someone to make it up for you BEFORE you install it

It was soo intrusive a mod that Paul was quite nervous at some points (well most of them actually) about getting the car running again but the fear subsided once it started to look more like a car again

May consider doing this one again at some point on one of my own cars lol... possibly the work car, an SRi will full climate, theres something....

Well he's only gone and done it after a clandestine meeting in an underground car park somewhere in East London in a scene reminiscent of the Sweeney, Mr Mod himself finally solved the last remaining issues with the ECC retrofit and has raised himself to be truly King of the Mods. Plasma you really are the dogs mate and the first retrofitted ECC Vectra C lives.
i am so happy I could happily kiss a penguin.
