Default Engine Lifting Brackets - Stupid to remove?

As title, on the 2.2 non direct... The one just to the left of the cam cover at the back, you think this may cause issues in future, or would this only be if i had to do an engine swap...

Could i still crane the engine without this one somehow?, or would you weld it lower in a similar area?

Looking to make a cover to hide the manifold and bolt it down using the cam cover bolts but its in the way, sits too high...

I usually leave them, (wrapped up to stop rattling around), in the spare tyre bay if I have had to remove them for any reason, covers, extra earthing, modifications etc etc.

Awesome... Just checked and its one bolt by the looks. I'll pop it off then bolt it upside down on the other.
