rear seat passenger vents

I have been looking at many vectras over the past few months - i think i have now found what i have been looking for - however!......

in many of the adverts when you look at the pictures it looks as though the rear seat passenger vents are missing - those in the back of the arm rest - ive seen quite a few with these missing - or so it looks

the car i am currently going after to replace my sri estate of 6 years also shows this in the pictures, i have asked the dealer and they have replied:

"Rest assured there are no parts missing, this is a deep pocket with rounded edges not an air vent"

now i nearly wet myself, im sure this was never meant to be a storage area - was it? as ive seen in in so many ads now im starting to doubt myself!

what do you think? am i going mad?

this is from a digital green estate xp which i think im going to have a go at - anyone know the car???

It looks missing cos the vent is black and the surrounding is gray so it looks like there's nothing there

Cost cutting, they removed the vents in newer vecs...

Seriously?! No rear air vents, just storage space in newer vec's? If this is true, from what year?

this is an 07 car im looking at - ive never heard of that before!

It is true its being removed from vectra I have it on 06 zafira but think they were removed facelift

Not sure if its trim dependent, but most of the recent SRi's have seen don't have them...

wtf??? really? your having me on!

before posting this reply i have searched autotrader and seen 2 58 plates and an o9 plate with this rear cubby hole - im very dissapointed! it looks awful! thats putting me off!!! surely thats cost cutting to the extreme!

might have to retro fit dummy vents !!!

You can buy a full arm rest module with vents for £20/30, or £40 if want leather to match your gator. but its depends how bad you want them and if Vauxhall even bothered to fit the air feed/tunneling for them etc.
