    Engine : 1.8 vvt (XE18XER)

    Year : 2008

superchip gives about 7bhp for £300.00, Regal do remaps to 168bhp, ive been looking for this for 4 years but it seems to be a forgotting engine for tuning, 1.8 8v was great for tuning, spend £3000.00 and get 214bhp,maybe some day

Start with a K&N or Pipercross airfilter, and do the Air Box Mod, as found in the How2 section.

I found that the spark plugs on mine were worn out at 28K. Vauxhall say they should last 40K miles, what rubbish.

Cleaning out the Throttle Body also helps if the car has a high mileage.
This is for a 2.2, but its similar on the 1.8vvt-i, except the TB is at the rear of the engine.

Get a 4 wheel alignment from a garage that has Hunter equipment, that makes the car feel so much better on the road.

Some people have changed the exhaust system, but i have'nt yet.

Lastly join your local area group, most people are very willing to help.

It gives you an extra 7BHP, but it's the torque too.. I think it helped a fair bit, it's certainly more fun to drive!

Expensive though isn't it..!! But it's a 250BHP option if you have the spends... which I don't!
