Default Spain - Hamilton gets pole position taken away

Lewis Hamilton loses Spanish pole because of rules on fuel

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has been excluded from qualifying at the Spanish Grand Prix after stopping his car out on the track at the end of qualifying .

Hamilton qualified on pole but will start from the back of the grid.
He was told to stop because there was insufficient fuel in the car for him to get back to the pits and provide a sample, as required by the rules.
The stewards rejected McLaren's argument that not putting enough fuel in the car was "force majeure".

Spoiled the race again, thanks :/

Yes but the rules are the rules the team know the rules. I think Eddie Jordan mentioned the fuel test too.

    Silly error on mclarens part.

Guys can you please not post something as "spoiler" ish in the title of threads, I'm actually sitting watching the qualifying now that I recorded earlier and now know more than I wanted to as the thread title appeared on the front page of the forum.

The rules are the rules, well executed by the stewards, and now looking back makes Hamitons victory dance after qualifying look silly
This well established team still gets the basics wrong...
Not putting enough fuel in, is a school boy error
Not designing a wheel and nut that fit together, is a school boy error

On the plus side, unlike others at the back of the grid Hamilton has used up all his qualifying tyres so there won't be that much of an advantage
He might come in very early and swap to the hard tyre in the hope they last to half distance

Lol thanks Paul, but why should I have to avoid Vec-C as well as news websites and radio just because I haven't watched it yet. All it takes is a more subtle thread title, that's all I'm asking
