Default Oil Leak from my Intercooler

    Casa 019.jpg

Hello Folks.....read a few good posts about oil in the intercooler.

Just put a new intercooler on my 05 plate 1.9cdti 120.

It had obviously cracked and was dripping oil on my nice blockpaved drive......only one drop every few days.

Bearing in mind the car has done 108K could the picture above be a normal build up or is my turbo on the way out?

    Grateful of any enlightened opinions.

    A

quite normal i reckon, I have seen more come of others.. Its actually a good idea to flush the intercooler every few years if you have the means..

Thanks for that......that is the total amount that ran out over the course of a few hours. I cleaned the bottom hoses thouroughly so might just take one off in a few weeks to check.

gunk always collects in the bottom of intercoolers. As you say, check it in a few months and see what its like then..
