    Default rear ride height

    hi all
i'm after lowering the body height on the back end of my signum.
since i went to 225/45/17 tyres theres a huge gap between the arch top and tyre can anyone suggest whats the best plan of attack.
was thinking sri estate springs as i only want to lower the rear the front is fine.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Your tyre's are too small for 17" wheels They should be at leased 225/50/17 to give the same rolling circumference. 225/45/ would be the correct size for 18s

225/45/17 or 215/50/17 are the correct ones.

225/45 is the correct optional size for a 17" wheel, according to the manual though. Been looking at this as I will need new tyres this year at some point and 215/50's are silly prices.

225/45/17 gives a different rolling diameter so the speed-o will be out. Have a look at the link mate put in the size tyre you took off then compare with the ones you have on then go with the closest match, I think there is a 2 or 3% tolerance where the speed-o is concerned.
As Knep says, take a look at your manual. There are different variations that can be used with different sizes of wheel.

Your speedo is also out the more the tyre is worn and you can always set it correct in the IPC. and the only one to change is if you go to 19" wheels.

This is the price you pay, along with others issues, with swapping from 215/50R17 to 225/45R17
The reason for the apparent gap is the even lower profile of this tyre
It is more obvious at the rear, but eventually you will get used to it

Do you still have 215/50R17 on the front, or have these also swapped over?

    All 4 tyres are 225/45/17
speedos been recalibrated with tech2 to option2 which is the correct setting for the tyre size.
