Default White smoke, oil from exhaust

I was driving along, gave the car a bit of gas and sudden loss of power. Thought it had gone into limp mode but saw the car behind rapidly vanish into a cloud of white smoke.

Limped the car back home and started her up and revved it a few times and found a metre long spray of black oil out of the exhausts.

I'm guessing the turbo has gone?

Obviously the car is undrivable at the moment and I'm about to work away so it will either sit in the garage until I get back or I'll have to get someone to have a look.

If it is the turbo anyone recommend a decent place? (Based in Norfolk)

    The car is a 2003 2.2dti 109k miles

Any mixing of oil/water in either oil or the header tank for coolant?

Oil streaming out of the exhaust sounds a lot like the turbo... white smoke sounds like coolant. Not sure if there is any water cooling on the turbo on those engines.

If you are handy with the spanners, pull the turbo off and have a look, because it sounds likely to be turbo failure! Don't run the engine until you have checked it/had it checked, if oil blows into the intake the engine will run on that oil and lunch itself.

    Good luck
