Have you plugged in the small jack plug into the rear of the HU?

I've got an Alpine HU too and all is working well.

Iirc this is the one I got from this company along with the add on patch lead.

Are you sure that PC99-X81 is the correct adapter for your Vectra?

According to the Autoleads website, PC99-X80 is for Vectra Cs >2005 (and various other Vauxhalls) with steering controls on upper part of steering wheel, whereas PC99-X81 is for Vectra Cs >2005 with the controls on the lower part of the steering wheel.

X80 and X81 are both for full canbus Vauxhalls, but there are two different types of steering wheel controls.

Not being funny but why do people but auto leads patch leads yes then are cheaper than alpine's own but in the end they are not as good buy your self the correct alpine harness and you can control more with it then the auto leads one plus you can get one that you keep the radio station info on the screen

As said, the Autoleads are the cheaper option, but in most cases the correct cable does the job just fine.

I had an Alpine in my full canbus Vectra before switiching to a CD70. Do your homework if you plan on going with a proper Alpine cable/control unit.

The cable assy for HU which would give on screen info was £100, and for what it would actually display turned out to be not really worth it IMO. You would only see the name of the audio track, and only if the song info was formatted correctly. It would not show radio station info etc. This was a couple of years ago, so things might have moved on and be able to display things better.

I ended up using an Autoleads cable which worked just fine and gave me the steering wheel controls.
