    Default heated front seat switches

    Hi

I now have a pair of the above mentioned switches to fill in the top 2 blanks and I'm wondering is it the same way to illuminate them as the other switches ie sports, park pilot switches?

All I want them to do is come on with my dash lights and nothing else. I've sent for some of the floppy drive plugs that Ian has used in to How 2 for the sports switch .

    Thanks guys

    Scotty

The principal is the same, but I'm not sure the pinouts are the same without dismantling one. But you'll only need the positive and earth same as in the howto I did for the sport switch, just check the pins needed before powering it up

Pop the switch apart and trace the contacts going to both sides of the LED that lights up the symbol on the switch, then you know which two pins it is you can't do any damage, if you put them the wrong way round the LED won't light up that's all.

Cheers Ian, and I guess I can tap into the same source I used for the sports switch too? I also got the 2 leds lit in this switch by connecting another small wire to the live feed and then next week-end at the smd conversion at my house Stampede is going to change the colours to the blue I've already got. I might get 1 lit blue and the other lit red or green........
    just to be different lol.
