    Angry brake-lines.co.uk

After ordering a set of braided HEL hoses from brake-lines.co.uk I've had nothing but problems with them. Originally the hoses that were made up had 10mm banjos not 12mm (common problem I believe) so I spent days trying to phone them to correct it, but couldn't get through for love nor money.

I then emailed them and got a response back a day later saying that the factory ran out of 12mm banjos so made them up with 10mm instead and that the correct ones would be sent out the following day. This was over a week ago and I've not heard a peep since so I've emailed them again to try and push them to sort it out.

I heard good things about them on here and elsewhere, but with the lack of communication and haste in either letting me know when they're sending them out or actually sending them, annoys me and I'll never use them again.

Has anyone else had problems with them or is it just me?

I ordered a set from them and had to wait for stock of the 12mm banjos to turn up. They are fully aware of the size required for the Vectra C so I do not know where there issue is, maybe they are just a bit slow on the uptake!

I tried to contact them on the phone to ask why they were taking so long but never got through. They did reply to my second email telling me they where waiting on the banjo's. Don't think I would use them again due to the slow service/contact response

The quality of the hoses is great, it seems that they just blindly follow the specifications again and again that they haven't corrected... i think the excuse from the seller about them running out of banjos is to fob me off because he's slow getting his orders into HEL.

Maybe it would have been quicker if we'd contacted HEL directly when ordering, stating that they were 12mm banjos not 10mm before they made them up.

Goodridge are just as bad at making the hoses to the incorrect specifications.

I can't believe how bad he is at replying, his answerphone message says that they're out of the office (no matter what time I ring) and that they're still answering emails on their phones............. no they're eff'ing not!!

I've just sent a rather heated email to brake-lines.co.uk because I still heard nothing from them, only to get the reply that the factory are out of stock or the 12mm banjos.

I've also just spoken to the factory, who confirm that there is a wait of at least 2 weeks for the banjos but they'll see if they can put a rush on it via brake-lines.co.uk

I'm not holding my breath and it winds me up that I've just been left in the dark, so I would strongly recommend that if you want brake hoses to arrive the same year you ordered them, give brake-lines.co.uk a wide berth.

If I've not heard something positive by Wednesday, I'm getting my refund and keeping OEM hoses.
