    Default Top mounts

    ordered these..........

    http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Va...e524364&000872

thinking it was the actual mounts

just been delivered and its the top mount bearings they've sent me.

obviously im gonna renew the bearings - but does the mount actually need replaced or do these last?

my car is a 2008 sri with 41,000 miles - would the mounts be goosed?

im pretty chuffed with the price as i used a promo code and got both for £29.40 - 30% discount

so any help or info on the mounts would be great

    thanks in advance

    rab.............

It was me that sent you to them, so I feel bad you didn't get what you wanted. It's a poor show that what they advertise as a top mount isn't that at all. Conveniently for them they don't show a photo of the item on their website.

To be honest at that mileage you shouldnt need to replace the top mounts
Just have a look at them
When you take the suspension legs off

    its cool bud

i called them and asked why they advertise them as top mounts and whilst on the phone, thats when i noticed they werent febi bilstein either - they are SNR parts - i quizzed the guy, he went silent

he then said - "your 11 miles from a branch, please take them there and they will refund you"

that was it - very very disappointed with them

    There only a metal
Plate that gives you a locating fix to the body , as long as the 3 studs are ok just check them for rust
If there rusty just rub them down and hammerite then

hey m8, are you getting a clunking noise coming from the front when going over rough ground or going over bumps ect.. as im getting a clunking noise for the front, ive had the car on the ramps numerous times and still cant find or hear anything, it all seem solid. Plus ive done my droplinks and ARB bushes (front & back) but i still think its the strut bearings or mount. My veccy has just done 40k

BTW i only hear the noise when cold

thats the exact same bud............only i get the noise all the time over rough ground/potholes.

ive fitted new sachs supertouring struts and eibach lowering springs, new droplinks and still getting it.

i'll fit the mount bearings and arbs at the weekend and see how it goes and let you now bud
