    Default Running Temps

Just out of curiosity, what temperature do your cars run at?

I'm especially interested in the 1.8VVT's as the temp guage on mine sits just over 90*c. The fan kicks in about 93*c and it goes back down to where it was.

My cars on 08 on 35k miles so wondering if the stat is sticking shut or not? It gets up to temp within 8 mins or so and doesn't drop when driving around so can't be stuck open.

Anywhere between 85C and 95C is fine.

My non-VVT 1.8 generally runs around 87C on the open road, rising to just over 90C when coming off a dual carriageway and onto slower roads, but it settles back at around 87C after a few miles.

Mine is about the same but usually only takes no more than 5 mins to get to operating temp. Mind you I do always stick temp control to cold as soon as i get into car so it warms up quicker.
