Can Bus Interface From Halfrauds

Popped into Halfrauds yesterday on the way to do some priv work. I needed th eodd screwdriver & a fog light bulb for the Vec. Fog light bulb was on the shelf at £5.49 I think incidently, out with the trade card I've aquired from being a member of VXON & down came the price to £1.39!!! Robbing Bartewards!!!
Anyway, whilst typical Saturday staff were ponsing around not near the glass cupboard the screwdrivers were locked away in I took a wonder over to the audio section as the job I was doing may of needed a Can bus interface & I could do with keeping hold of one so even if it meant me having to buy one at Halfrauds full retail it would of meant I could complete the job if needed. So I ask the numptie who comes over to see me all full of beans asking

"Hi sir how can I help you?" (Fresh out of junior school he looked)

"Can bus interfaces, do you have them in stock" I asked

"ERRR, is that for the Tom Tom?" his shamefully & completely confused reply was

"I take it you've never heard of one then" I asked him

"Yes but you'd need to contact the manufacturer as we don't hold that item in stock" he says whilst trying to get out his hole which is getting deeper & deeper.

Thought I could push my luck to ask him to ask his manager but time was getting on & I had to make a move. Incidently unbeelievably there is a conventional speed pulse on a brand new 56 Peugeot 807 I would of put money on needing a Can Bus interface.

Try asking for a Multiplex wiring tail light bulb and say its a single filament 5/21w bulb ...... confuses the hell out of them something i like doing at halfords in my spare time ...
